The Voice's will.i.am leaks name of wildcard winner as series finale suspended

The Voice UK may have been forced to delay its semi-finals due to the coronavirus pandemic but the ITV singing competition is still well and truly going ahead.

Coach will.i.am has revealed there will be a massive change to the talent contest when it returns to our screens, breaking the news in a video posted on the show’s official account this afternoon.

The Black Eyed Peas star provided fans with an update on the competition by revealing the winner of the public lifeline vote.

Viewers were given the power to bring back one of their favourites acts from the knockout rounds in the form of a public vote.

The lifeline vote will bring the total number of remaining contestants to nine – and the winner has finally been revealed.

In the message posted online, Will explained: “Because of what’s going on in the world, we have delayed the live semi-final and the final of this series of The Voice UK.
