Eamonn Holmes & Ruth Langsford talk 'banging away' in racy This Morning moment

Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford got saucy as they hosted This Morning today.

The ITV presenters, who are filling in for Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield during half-term cheekily talked about ‘banging away’ on the show today.

Eamonn and Ruth, both 60, were actually talking about the Clap for Carers trend, which sees people banging on pots and pans to celebrate the hard work of the NHS, especially throughout the coronavirus pandemic.

However, capitalising on the innuendo, the pair couldn’t help giggling as they discussed ‘banging’.

Guest Trisha Goddard chuckled as she said: “I’ve heard you too bang away.”

Eamonn laughed as he said Ruth was “a little too vigorous” at it.

He added: “You’re very raucous when you do it.”

Ruth replied: “Well you have to commit to it and do it with vigour.”

The cheeky moment came after Eamonn was forced to clarify his comments on a 5G coronavirus conspiracy earlier on the show earlier this week.

Ofcom received more than 400 complaints after Eamonn appeared to back the theory that 5G is to blame for coronavirus.

The ITV star quickly cleared up his views dand insisted that he does not believe the theory that 5G has caused Covid-19 is valid, and that he was simply “looking for answers”.

This Morning airs weekdays on ITV, airing at 10am each morning
