Dog The Bounty Hunter engaged to girlfriend 11 months after wife Beth's death

Dog The Bounty Hunter is engaged to his new girlfriend Francie Frane.

The TV star has proposed to Francie 11 months after the death of his wife Beth.

Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman, 67, is now planning his wedding after proposing by candlelight at their home in Colorado.

Francie told The Sun Online: “I wasn’t expecting it at all.

“I think I had gone to pick up some food and then when I came back he had all the lights turned down with just a few lights on and a bunch of candles lit.

“So when I came in I was like, ‘Wow, this is awesome’. Then he said, ‘Come in, sit down because I need to talk to you’.

“So I put all the food in the kitchen and I came in and he said, ‘I know that God brought you into my life and I don’t want to spend one moment of it without you’.”

Francie said Dog got down on one knee and as he opened the ring box and he said, ‘Will you marry me and spend the rest of our lives together?’

She added: “Who can say no to that? It was wonderful.”

The couple are planning to wait until the coronavirus lockdown is over to get married.

They say they want all their family – including Dog’s 12 children, Francie’s two sons and their grandchildren, to be there for their special day.

He said: I’ve had so many fans ask ‘When you marry Francie, are you going to let your fans come?

“So we’re word negotiating right now because I want to open it up.

“I would love to have the biggest wedding there’s ever been.

Dog’s late wife Beth lost her battle with throat cancer last June, while Francie’s former spouse passed away six months prior to that.

The pair got together after Dog left a voicemail for Francie’s late husband Bob asking him to do some work on his property, without knowing he had passed away.
