Mary-Kate Olsen has filed for an emergency divorce from her French banker husband, Olivier Sarkozy.
The star, who was catapulted to fame alongside identical twin sister Ashley, had initially filed for divorce on April 17th but New York courts halted divorce proceedings in light of the coronavirus crisis.
Mary-Kate, 33, has now asked for an emergency divorce in order to speed up the process.
Reports claim that the former child actress is being forced out of her New York City apartment by the 50-year-old French banker, despite being given a deadline of May 18th.
TMZ reported that the lease on their apartment was terminated without her knowing.

Documents obtained by the US site claim that Mary-Kate is unable to meet the given deadline “because of quarantine guidelines” and has asked for it to be extended until May 30th.
The Olsenboye fashion designer has also accused her husband and his lawyers of ignoring her requests.
It’s also believed that Mary-Kate had included her divorce petition while filing for the emergency order, proving that she had asked for their prenup agreement to be enforced.

She claims: “the only way she can protect her property is if she’s to file a divorce petition.
“That would trigger an automatic court order preventing him from disposing of her property.”
Mary-Kate married Olivier in 2015, following a three-year romance.
They tied the knot in a lavish private ceremony in New York City.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were ranked the 11th-richest women in entertainment, with an estimated net worth of a staggering $100 million by Forbes.
Olivier is the half-brother of the former French president, Nicolas Sarkozy.
