Simon Cowell sheds four stone after sharing extreme lifestyle overhaul

Simon Cowell has opened up about his change in lifestyle after admitting he has managed to lose 60 pounds since kick-starting his fitness journey last year.

The music mogul, who has been vocal about his slimmer appearance, revealed a plant-based diet and regular exercise has aided his weight loss.

With the 60-year-old in lockdown with girlfriend Laura Silverman and son Eric in LA, the Britain’s Got Talent judge explained he’s keeping up with his newfound fitness regime despite the current situation.

Speaking to Terri Seymour on Extra, he said: “I think I have dropped, since I started this diet a year ago, 60 pounds.”

Simon added that he has found sticking to his routine easier in lockdown, but still has a hankering for takeaway pizzas.

He said: “I’m doing a bit of cooking. I’m exercising. Funny enough, more during this time as well, sticking to the diet.

“The only difficult thing is when Eric orders a pizza… That’s the number one thing I miss.”

Elsewhere in the interview, the father-of-one shared his pearls of wisdom on the best ways to deal with living in lockdown.

He continued: “Most importantly, occupy your mind. You have to stick to a routine. Fortunately, with things like with Zoom, you stay in touch with the world, keep motivated, come up with ideas.

“I never get this time, normally.”

Simon picked up his new healthier ways to overhaul his lifestyle following a health scare in 2017.

The X Factor star fell down the stairs while at home, fearing he had broken his neck.

After a meeting with his doctor, the star decided to primarily cut out meat, dairy, wheat and sugar, and months later refrained from eating fish too.
