Kate opened up about Derek’s coronavirus battle on Good Morning Britain today in a heartfelt interview with her friends and co-stars.

The I’m A Celeb star shared her final words with her husband before he was put into a coma.

Kate said: “He said to me, ‘You have saved my life, I don’t just mean now I mean everything. Being married to you, and the children.’

“And I said, ‘I love you, I love you,’ and then he was gone and that was it. He was under.”

Kate confirmed that Derek is now free from coronavirus but still in a critical condition.

She explained: “The fight with the virus has been won, but it’s wreaked extraordinary damage to his body and we don’t know if he can recover from that.

“It’s affected him from the top of his head to the top of his toes.”
