Lucie Donlan and Luke Mabbott let slip they're a couple with cryptic pictures

Love Island stars Lucie Donlan and Luke Mabbott have accidentally gone public with their relationship.

Speculation had previously circulated to suggest that the pair may have been dating, however there was no concrete evidence to prove that they were an item.

Until now, the reality stars had remained tight lipped about their close bond but it appears the cat is well an truly out of the bag now.

Their relationship was rumbled after the pair slipped up, sharing a very similar image, both showcasing the exact hot tub.

Boasting identical bubbling water snaps, including matching trees and background, left no mystery about their relationship.

The pictures also arrived on their individual Instagram stories at the same time, leading fans to believe they were enjoying a romantic mini break together.

An insider also revealed to The Sun Online: “They were messaging each other over Instagram during lockdown and as the rules relaxed their romance blossomed!

“Luke wasn’t single for long after he split with his ex Demi and Lucie is his dream woman – he can’t believe his luck.”

Although Luke and Lucie are both stars of the ITV matchmaker show, they didn’t actually feature on the same series together.

In fact, the Justin Bieber lookalike only recently broke things off with Essex babe Demi Jones, after coupling up and finding love on Winter Love Island in South Africa.

The former heating engineer wasted no time at all with remaining single after he and Demi had only recently confirmed they were officially over.

Demi revealed that things had turned sour between her Luke during lockdown, with lack of communication on her boyfriend’s part being the key driving force for their breakup.

The 21-year-old former style advisor told the MailOnline: “We’ve completely called it off now, I think it was brought about more from his behalf than mine, but we’re mutual and friendly.

“With lockdown, it drove us apart and we live so far away from each other.

“I feel like there wasn’t a lot of effort made with communication, so we drifted as a result. It’s a shame and bad timing.”
