Katie Price will have 'arthritis and pain for life' in devastating diagnosis

Reality star Katie Price has been told by doctors that it will take two years for her to be able to walk again.

The 42-year-old former glamour model underwent a six-hour operation on Friday after breaking both her feet in a freak accident at a theme park in Turkey.

In the latest video uploaded to her YouTube channel, Katie explained that she will be in “pain for the rest of my life” and has been told she will suffer from arthritis.

Filming ahead of her surgery, the mother of five said: “So the update on my feet, they are saying it will take two years for me to be back on my feet after proper rehabilitation.

“I have my operation on Friday. People don’t think I’ve broken my feet or my ankles.”

“But why do I have to justify? If I say I’ve broken my feet, I’ve broken them. Why would I lie about it or get sympathy for that?”

“I mean that’s wrong. They think I’ve had surgery for bunions. I have the most perfect feet normally.”

Former I’m A Celebrity star Katie later said in the video that she refuses to let the injury get her down and vowed to lead an independent life as much as she can.

“Yeah it’s very painful,” the star said.

Katie explained: “For the rest of my life now I’m going to have pain in my feet.”

“I’m going to have arthritis, I’m going to have to learn to walk again. Fact. I’ve been told this.”

Katie took to her Instagram Stories on Saturday morning post surgery to share a hospital update on how she was doing.

Posting a video of herself in bed at 2:30am in the morning, Katie revealed that she was unable to sleep as she panned around the empty ward.

She said: “So 02:30am I can’t sleep despite the fact I’ve had pain killers and I’m in so much pain and so tired,” followed by a sad emoji.

In a lengthy post, Katie wrote: ‘Wanted to update everyone who has been sending all the beautiful messages to me.

“So I’ve had my 6 hour op. Unfortunately more procedures was needed when they entered my feet than thought, but I’m lucky I have the chance to one day get on my feet again.

“Chelsea Westminster hospital nurses doctors have been amazing and the surgeons totally have my up most RESPECT and absolutely FANTASTIC very professional and have been very honest and straight with me to make me actually sink in my head the seriousness of my injuries MASSIVE THANKYOU …[sic]

The television personality went on to gush over her new boyfriend, Love Island hunk Carl Woods, 31.

She continued: “And massive Thankyou to @carljwoodsfor constantly fitting me around his work and being by my side , loving knowing I’ve found the man that has surprisingly ticked every box I could only dream of a man to be like and knowing I’m spending the rest of my life with him.” [sic]
