Ben Shephard was left baffled today after one Tipping Point contestant broke a show record for all the wrong reasons.
Hopeful Jean from Leeds managed to collect a staggering six penalty points as she stumbled through the questions.
Despite picking up countless penalties, Jean still managed to make the final due to her rivals Simon and Hope also struggling on the show.
Clearly confused how someone could do so well with such a long string of penalties, Ben said: “Jean, you are now leading after your sixth penalty point, which I still can’t believe.”

Agreeing, the tenancy administrator replied: “I know, I can’t believe it!”
However, the awkward moments weren’t over there for Jean.
The keen contestant went on to make another epic mistake.
Turning to the next question, Ben asked the group: “Agatha Christie’s novel A Body In The Library features which female amateur sleuth?”
Jumping into action, Jean buzzed in thinking she knew the answer.

Awkwardly, she answered: “Agatha Christie?”
Clearly baffled Ben responded: “No, you lost it then didn’t you – you mean Miss Marple, you just repeated the author’s name.
“Agatha Christie wrote the novel, of course.”
Teasing Jean, Ben laughed: “I’m not sure we have ever had six counters in the penalty point, but that is what’s happened today.”
Taking to Twitter to gossip about the fail, one viewer wrote: “Good save Jean #tippingpoint”.
Another added: “Well I never, we have Hope and Jean storming through to the final.”
