Miley Cyrus’ party lifestyle has been well documented since she walked away from the Disney Channel and the star recently came face-to-face with the situation.
Now, the singer has revealed that her latest single, Midnight Sky, is the outcome of a boozy night out which resulted in Miley being forced to “clean up” her act.
The singer, 27, admitted that she forced herself to leave a star-studded party after catching a glimpse of herself in a camera.
Speaking to the Australian radio show, Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa breakfast show on Monday, the singer said the lyrics including “it’s been a long night and the mirror’s tellin’ me to go home,” were the brainstorm of a grim reality for her.

She said the track was inspired by the last night out she went on before the “craziness and lockdown”.
“I ended up going out that night, and I went to take a picture because there was so many icons, Billy Idol, all these legends,” she said.
Miley continued: “I go to take a picture, and it was on selfie-style.

“With all this partying, I looked horrible, sweaty and flat, mascara dripping down my face and I thought well it’s time to go home!”
Miley who was catapulted to fame as Hannah Montanna ditched her Disney look in 2013, choosing to rock a series of provocative outfits on stage, raunchy dance routines and wild parties.

Most recently, her love life has taken centre stage after recently splitting from Aussie singer Cody Simpson.
2019 saw her marriage to long-term partner Liam Hemsworth break down after first dating in 2010.

The Can’t Be Tamed songstress also spoke candidly about the upcoming election in the United States.
“Listen I’m 27 and I know I’ve never experienced an election this important in my life and hopefully not again in my lifetime,” she said.
She continued: “I can’t express the importance enough, especially if young people getting out there and being active and making sure that their friends, their family are voting and have the information about whether it’s mailing in, about the state of our country right now.”
Hitting out at Donald Trump, she exclaimed: “It’s just crucial that we get out there and make changes and we have someone fit for the job of running our country.”
