Ranvir Singh returned to Good Morning Britain to present in the 6am news, appearing live via video link from Westminster to talk all things coronavirus.
But rather than just getting on with her job, she was forced to defend herself when a cruel troll targeted her appearance in the most disgusting way.
The disgusting tweet aimed at Strictly Come Dancing star Ranvir read: “Looking rougher than a dinghy riding migrant this morning Ranvir.”
Rather than lower herself to their level, Ranvir responded by saying: “Wow. On every level, a bizarre insight into how someone’s mind works at 6am on a Monday morning. Have a good week.”

Other people hit back at the troll, with one writing: “Wow and you’re replying that to a news reader. Bad.”
A second said: “FFS. Have a word with yourself.”
And another teased them: “You are so tough. Such a tough lad. Gangster. Well done. Your kids must be so proud!
Ranvir was live from Westminster discussing the potential second lockdown that people in the country are facing.

She said: “Cabinet is reflecting the feeling of the nation on a whole, there is a real need to save Christmas.
“Can you imagine us being in a lockdown where the rule of six is still in place, where you couldn’t mix families at Christmas? That’s basically what we’re looking at.”
The soon-to-be Strictly ballroom dancer explained that ministers will meet tomorrow to discuss a strategy for the country, and that Prime Minister Boris Johnson may address the nation if they come up with something quick enough.
Ranvir went on to say: “The question is, what would a next lockdown really look like for the whole country? Would it be as deep and as harsh as it was the first time around?
“The general feeling is that that won’t be. Schools will remain open, public transport, offices will remain open.
“But it will perhaps be what’s going on in those areas, about restaurants and pubs shutting at 10 o’clock at night, about people being encouraged to work from home again, rather than get back into the office.”
She then went on to mention how a vaccine likely won’t be ready until spring 2021, adding: “Really what we’re looking at is lockdown restrictions on a rolling basis for the next six months at least.”
