Good Morning Britain ‘s Adil Ray left Jacqui Smith cringing on today’s show, when he suggested her Strictly Come Dancing makeover had appeared on Page 3 of the newspapers.
The 57-year-old former Home Secretary appeared on the show alongside broadcaster Iain Dale, discussing current affairs of the day.
However, near the end of the segment, the conversation turned to Jacqui’s upcoming Strictly stint, as she joins the BBC One dancing competition with a host of celebrities.
Yesterday, the politician shared a selfie from her Strictly changing room, with her hair styled in curls and her face made up with glamorous cosmetics.
Praising the selfie, Kate and Adil suggested the Labour politician looked completely different after the Strictly makeover.

Adil then took things to the next level, remarking the photo had appeared in “Page 3 of one of the papers today”.
Page 3 is a controversial Brit tabloid tradition of printing semi-nude photos of women on the third page of the printed newspaper.
Jacqui made an awkward face in response to the remark, hinting it had made her cringe.
However, Kate was quick to save the mood in the studio and burst out laughing, suggesting Adil himself ought to appear on Page 3 of The Sun.
Kate then heaped praise on Jacqui’s dramatic transformation, saying: “You look especially Strictly there.”
Sharing her new look on Twitter earlier this week, Jacqui praised the hardworking hair and makeup department behind-the-scenes on Strictly.

She said: “The @bbcstrictly wardrobe, hair and makeup teams are genius. Here’s a little tease of things to come!
“(Of course I look like this every weekend when recording @forthemanypod and that @IainDale is a fiend for the sequins.”
Her followers went into meltdown over the glitzy makeover, as one penned: “The ‘eyes’ have it! You look amazing. Sooooo looking forward to Strictly.”
And a second wrote: “Jacqui! Wow! You’re always gorgeous, but you look ‘movie star’ here. I particularly love the light colour of your hair it’s very flattering. I’m so excited for this show. Our whole family is rooting for you already xx”
