Bridgerton's Regé-Jean Page secures leading role in new Dungeon & Dragons film

Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page may be about to land a massive new role in the up-coming Dungeon & Dragons film.

His portrayal of the smouldering Duke of Hastings won him an army of new fans in the period drama.

But now America appears to be on the horizon for the 31-year-old actor.

It is claimed he has signed up to star in the new Dungeons & Dragons film, alongside Chris Pine, Michelle Rodriguez and Justice Smith.

The Hollywood Reporter revealed his next career move – but we won’t see him in it until summer 2022.

Fans don’t now know anything about Regé-Jean’s character yet, but he has secured a “leading role” in the movie, the publication say.

Dungeons & Dragons was first adapted for the big screen in 2000 and starred Thora Birch, Jeremy Irons, Kristen Wilson, Justin Whalin and Marlon Wayans.

It comes after the star carefully swerved a question about James Bond amid rumours he might be cast in the role.

Fans are eager to see the Netflix favourite as 007 with No Time To Die expected to be Daniel Craig’s final film as Bond.

Speaking to Graham Norton earlier this month on The Graham Norton Show, the Bridgerton hunk tried to avoid the topic all together.

During his interview, Regé-Jean explained that Bridgerton was the only ‘B’ word he was permitted to talk about.

He told the host he had been given specific orders before coming on.

“Bridgerton is the only ‘B” word I am allowed to say – I am not going to talk about the other ‘B’ words!” the actor said.

Previously, he said he was flattered to be named among Hollywood heavyweights such as Idris Elba and Tom Hardy.

He added: “I’m very glad to have the badge, I’m very glad to be in the company of such people whop have the badge, but it’s just a badge.”
