Dancing on Ice champion Jake Quickenden has become a father for the first time after his girlfriend Sophie Church gave birth to a baby boy.
Jake, 32, and 27-year old Sophie confirmed the happy news alongside adorable photographs of their newborn son on Friday evening.
The former X Factor star took to Instagram to tell fan: “‘ITS A BOY….. meet Leo Oliver Quickenden. I am so overwhelmed right now, but first I want to say Sophie you’re amazing and watching you during all this made me love you even more.”
“I already know you’re an amazing mum and cannot wait to raise this beautiful little baby with you!! I also have such a mixture of feelings, I’m so so happy but also feel a little sadness my dad and brother are not around to meet my baby!”
He added: “I promise to be a great dad, I will make mistakes but promise I won’t make the same one twice, I will learn on the job like most parents and will do everything in my best interest for you.

Jake’s sweet social media post has since been flooding with supportive messages from his fans and famous friends
Love Island star Shaughna Phillips penned: “Congratulations to you all and a huuuuuuuge well done to @sophie_church! Cutest lil family there ever was.”
TOWIE cast member Dan Edgar wrote: “Congratulations mate.”

Sophie, who is already a mum to six-year old son Freddie from a previous relationship, shared the same snap of their son sleeping in front of a sign which read: ”Im Leo. Nice to meet you!”

The mother-of-two added: “My sweet boy Leo Oliver Quickenden. Welcome to our family…
“I feel truly blessed that you are ours. And thanks @jakequickenden14 for being by my side, you were all the support I could have wanted and more.”
Jake confirmed Sophie’s pregnant with Instagram followers in September while sharing a sweet caption about following in his late father’s footsteps, who passed away from bone cancer in 2008.
