Lord Sugar has told fans he thinks that Meghan Markle is lying about being blocked from seeking medical help as she battled suicidal thoughts.
The Duchess of Sussex made the sensational claim to Oprah Winfrey in a two hour CBS special on Sunday night in which she hit out at the royal family.
Meghan and Prince Harry accused the ‘institution’ of being cold and uncaring about the actress’ mental health needs.
Taking to Twitter, Lord Sugar told his 5.2 million followers: “I find it hard to believe that Meghan was not allowed to seek medical assistance over her alleged mental state.
“So what would happen if she had acute appendicitis? I say she is lying.”

The view echoes that of Piers Morgan who let rip about the former Deal or No Deal box girl – accusing her of pepper gunning the Monarchy and The Queen.
After one fan replied to Lord Sugar “are you agreeing with Mr Morgan”, The Apprentice star bluntly replied: “Yes”.
Lord Sugar later added to a frustrated fan: “You are missing the point Meghan said she was not allowed to seek medical attention. That is double barrel BS.”

Not stopping there, he hit back at the third follower: “I do not believe she was not allowed to seek medical attention. That is a blatant lie.”
To the shock of his co-host Susanna Reid, Piers told the nation on Monday that he didn’t think Meghan was telling the full truth.
His comments have been condemned by mental health charity Mind.

In a statement, the charity said: “We are disappointed and concerned to see Piers Morgan’s comment son not believing Meghan’s experiences about suicidal thoughts today.
“It’s vital that when people reach out for support or share their experiences of ill mental health that they are treated with dignity, respect and empathy.
“We are on conversations with ITV about this at the moment.”
The statement added via Twitter: “If you or anyone you know is feeling impacted by the discussions that has taken place today, please reach out for support using the signposts in the thread below.”
