Howard Donald brands all Take That songs 's***' – despite making £30m with band

Howard Donald has branded all Take That’s songs as “s***”.

The singer made the harsh remark whilst speaking on the Events that Made me podcast.

Howard, 52, slammed: “I don’t like any of them [our songs], they’re all s**t.”

And the music star stressed that he doesn’t listen to any of the award-winning group’s songs, saying that instead he prefers electronic music.

“I generally listen to a lot of electronic music – I listen to a lot of dance music,” revealed Howard.

“At the moment I’ve got 15 boxes of vinyl, all dance music from the late 80s and 90s, I’m sifting through – Beck, Chemical Brothers, Kraftwerk, Human League, Gary Numan.”

Top hits Could It Be Magic, Back for Good and Never Forgot helped Take That achieve worldwide success and acclaim – and it’s estimated Howard is worth £30million off the back of it.

But Howard had no issue snubbing the star hits penned by bandmate Gary Barlow.

However, he was keen to stress that Take That certainly knew how to put on a spectacular live show.

“We’ve always said we want people to walk out of those arenas and say: ‘Wow. It was an amazing show. I got my £80 worth’,” he admitted.

Take Take have achieved worldwide success

“Production wise, you could spend anywhere between £10million to £15million producing a show like that.

“Then obviously you’ve got to do enough shows to get your money back, otherwise you would be doing it for free. And we are a business at the end of the day.”

He added: “We never used to see guys at our show, and bit by bit the girlfriends would be bringing the guys, and the guys would have their arms in the air.

“They’ve come along because they know Take That’s going to deliver a performance – whether you like the music or not.”

Howard has branded Take That’s songs as sh*t

Last year Howard was comically mocked for doctoring a picture of himself to make it look like he had met rock legend Davie Bowie.

The photoshopped image showed Howard and bandmate Mark Owen as music icon David drapes his arms around the lads.

But it was more a case of Fake Prat rather than Take That as Howard was left embarrassed for announcing to his 100,000 Instagram followers that he been “nervous” about meeting the star.

The original photo had shown Gary in the middle of the pair.
