While GB News fans were more than interested in the various debates this morning, including care home staff needing Covid-19 jabs and vast discussions on immigration, they couldn’t help but be distracted by a vibrating noise in the background.
The new live news show is still working on its technical side, with a tweet from the organisation confirming that they’re working on all issues.
The tweet read: “Our team has been working hard to get our audio right. We’ve made a number of improvements to the sound overnight – let us know if it’s made a difference in your home.
“We’re small, new and building as we go.”
Many fans are being understanding over the technical issues, though some couldn’t help but question why the team were doing DIY work while hosting their breakfast show.
Taking to Twitter to discuss the loud drilling, one user wrote: “Why are they now drilling… lol! You’re on air guys.”
Another added: “Heard the drilling loud and clear this morning.”
Shortly after, another user tweeted: “I’m loving the content and its even better now we can hear it!”
It comes after GB News faced problems during their first two days on set, but the team are rallying and continuing to share their content throughout the day.
Andrew Neil opened the show on Sunday, June 13, at the time he said: “It’s 8pm on Sunday June 13 2021. Welcome to the launch of GB News, Britain’s news channel, dedicated to covering the news that matters to you and to giving a voice to those who felt sidelined or even silenced in our great national debates. Because if it matters to you, it matters to us.”
He added: “GB News will not be yet another echo chamber for the metropolitan mindset that already dominates so much of our media. It is our explicit aim to empower those who feel their stories, their opinions, their concerns have been ignored or diminished.”
Reaffirming his plans, he said that both good and bad news will be reported, adding: “Even in grim times, there is much that is great and uplifting to report.”
However, during his speech sync issues and sound issues have been some of the few technical errors faced by the team, causing outrage by fans online – though viewers are slowly coming around as errors are resolved.
The news channel is live 24-hours a day and will cover various topics.
Since their launch, GB News has covered the likes of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck rekindling their romance and Covid-19 jabs.
