TV personality Kerry Katona has been left devastated after her plans of owning her dream home fell through, only days after receiving her keys.
Kerry, 40, was overwhelmed with joy when she accepted the keys to her £2million property, but reports now claim that she has been forced to rent the mansion instead.
The Atomic Kitten singer is now renting the Alderley Edge mansion for six months for an eye-watering £9,500 per month, according to reports.
Talking to DailyMail on the matter, Kerry’s representative said: “The house Kerry bought has fallen through due to issues with the chain.
“So because of this she is renting the property for six months whilst looking for a new home up north.”
Last month, Kerry announced the happy news to her fans online that she had bought her dream home.
The mother-of-five had previously struggled with bankruptcy and addiction, so was joyful that she was able to afford her swanky new pad.
Taking to Instagram to show off her swanky new home, Kerry told fans that she finally felt back on top.
She also openly discussed her drug abuse when she lived in Cheshire previously before.
The star admitted: “The last time I lived here I was doing loads of coke, losing all my money, hanging around d***heads who used and abused me.
“Not only have I climbed halfway back up I’ve climbed all the way up to the top.
“Who’d have thought I’d have made it through? If you were to put a bet at the bookies if I was going to end up dead, I would have taken that bet.”
She also said her boyfriend Ryan Mahoney helped her to turn her life around.
The star continued: “Me and Ryan are entrepreneurs and we’ve been creating this little empire of ours and I’m so super proud.
“I’ve worked really hard to turn this all around. And I wouldn’t have been able to do this without my Ryan.
She concluded: “I can’t wait for the rest of the family to get here. Just leaving (old house) was bitter sweet really.
“They are my last memories with George and DJ. It upsets me because DJ was only five. Look how far we’ve come. She’s a great kid and she’s going to have a wonderful life.”
Kerry’s new home is a stunning property that features a spiral staircase, cottage style beams and a state-of-the-art kitchen.
The home also backs onto a small lake and has a large rear garden.
The TV star and children, Heidi, 14, and Max, 13, from her marriage to Mark Croft, and seven-year-old Dylan-Jorge, daughter of her late ex-husband George Kay previously lived in Surrey with her partner Ryan.
