AJ Odudu left fuming as she's booted off The Chase for 'silly mistake'

AJ Odudu is the third player in a row to fail to beat The Vixen in the first round of The Chase in the celebrity special version of the show – but it was over her own mistake.

If it was just down to her knowledge, AJ would have smashed the initial round, but due to a handful of mistakes she was sent home without anything for charity.

While she was contemplating her answer, the 2021 Strictly Come Dancing contestant timed out before she was able to give her answer, which she ended up guessing correctly.

Although she was able to move past it, she was left with one final answer to get through to the final round, but The Vixen was just behind her, so she needed to guess it right.

Sadly for AJ, she timed out before she was able to get the answer out there – and again, when Bradley Walsh asked her what she would have guessed at, it was correct once again.

However, as AJ guessed correctly, The Vixen did too, so she was swiftly booted off the show.

As she failed to answer the first question he shouted: “I’m fuming!”, before the second missed chance saw her say: “No! Surely not,” before adding “I’m really gutted about that.”

Taking to Twitter, viewers were left in shock as AJ failed to hit the button twice before timing out, with one user writing: “Gosh she’s terrible at pressing a bloody button.”

While another person wrote: “Well that was a silly mistake.”

Meanwhile a third person chirped: “She’s a better player than that.”

AJ was the third person in a row booted off the show – and all three players had gone for the amount that they had managed to build rather than going high or low.

Only one person was left, Jonathan Ross, who landed £5,000 in his cash builder, but was offered £100,000 to tempt him into taking the high offer.

The temptation tactics worked and he opted for the high offer – and even managed to get through to the final round.

Sadly, Jonathan was unable to land his £100,000 as he was beaten out with just seconds to go, but he was able to take £1,000 home to his chosen charity.
