Love Island’s Faye Winter wants time away and ‘space’ from Teddy Soares while they enjoy their ‘honeymoon period’ after leaving the villa.
The pair reached third place after the Love Island 2021 final on Monday.
They shared a rollercoaster romance with plenty of ups and downs throughout the dating series on ITV.
Faye made the admission during an Instagram Q&A session with fans, where she said the couple is planning on moving in together – but she wants to keep her home in Devon which she’ll return to each week.
The bombshell believes not being around each other 24/7 during a relationship and thinks it will be good for their blossoming courtship – which she added the romance is still in the early stages.
“Me and Teddy are planning on getting a place together but it will be that I’ll still come home to Devon three or four days a week so he has his space and I have mine while we’re in the honeymoon period,” she admitted.
The pair are having to spend time apart as they adhere to Covid quarantine rules after flying home, like the rest of the Villa finalists.
After months under the same roof in sunny Majorca, the contestants have returned to their homes where they’ve been left pining for each other’s company and affection.
Faye and Teddy had an eventful coupling on the show, with the majority of drama erupting around Casa Amor.
The first roadblock came after a postcard from the second villa revealed Mancunian Teddy kissing Clarisse Juliette.
Fuming Faye coupled up with Sam Jackson.
When Teddy returned alone he was almost in tears after seeing her in the arms of another man.
But, after making his intentions clear on how he wanted to commit to her, Faye and Teddy made up and re-coupled again.
She also launched into a sweary rant at him following the movie night challenge in an argument which became the most-complained about moment in the series, after fans flocked to Ofcom.
Teddy has since commented that rows are “healthy” for relationships, after leaving the villa.
Teddy and Faye discussed the rows and what it means for them as a couple.
She said: “I’m so fiery and Teddy is so cool. He is the coolest guy I know. He chills me out.”
Teddy agreed that opposites attract, by adding: “I’m the ice to her fire to be honest! Overall we have so much fun together, we take the p*** out of each other and we have our affectionate moments.
“We’ve got such a fine balance. Even the arguing, I think that’s healthy in every relationship. It’s just how you deal with it.”
