Dan Walker has admitted he is “really struggling” to master his Strictly Come Dancing routine this week.
The BBC Breakfast star, 44, ended up towards the top of the leaderboard after hitting the dancefloor with his partner Nadiya Bychkova for the first time last week.
But it seems he is having a tougher time picking up the moves this week, and he told his fans that at this point his dance is a bit of a “sweaty mess”.
“Legs are a bit weary,” he wrote on Twitter.
“I’ll be honest with you… I am really struggling with this week’s dance. Nothing went in yesterday. It was just a sweaty mess.”
Dan said he and Nadiya were heading back into the dance studio to try and smooth things out ahead of Saturday night’s instalment of the BBC show.
“Hopefully something will click,” he added.
The star said on Instagram that his new dance is so “hard going” because it’s “incredibly technical”.
“I have to get my body into all sorts of positions it has never been in before,” said the father-of-three.
“It’s amazing how much work goes into making it look like it isn’t much work.
“Hopefully we’ll have it in decent shape by the weekend.”
The TV star had a bit of a rocky start to the competition after he whacked his head days before Strictly got underway.
Dan was about to run through what he thought was an open door – and slammed into glass.
He posted a picture on Instagram of his bumped and bruised forehead, admitting it was a “completely stupid” thing to have done.
He later revealed that he felt “a bit wobbly” after hurting himself and was sent to A&E to get checked out.
Luckily he was fine, and was able to get back to preparing for the ballroom competition.
