Foulmouthed TV cook Gordon Ramsay has blasted baked beans on toast as “sh*t” – and said they should only be eaten with fried duck.
The Michelin starred chef slated the much-loved British fave and said he could only eat an “elevated” version with duck and Marmite.
Gordon, 54, said he grew up eating beans and spaghetti hoops on toast several times a week, but could no longer face it.
He said: “I did as a kid growing up. We used to eat that sh** three or four times a week
“So do we do that now? No. I will let you what on occasion we will do beans on toast, but I will elevate beans on toast like you have never seen before.
“I take a slice of sourdough, grill it on the most amazing AGA, from that get local churned butter, a little touch of marmite, spicy beans and fried duck finished with most amazing Gruyere cheese on top, put it under the Salamander.
“It is beans on toast to die for.”
It comes despite the chef facing criticism last year for charging £19 for a posh “fry up” at his restaurant The Savoy Grill.
At the time he defended the meal – and said that an English breakfast with extra baked beans would be his “last supper”.
After he was slammed over the price of the meal at the London hotel he said: “I stand by it. I swear by it.
“And it is one meal that I would ever eat as a last supper. It has to be a full English breakfast with extra baked beans.”
He also told critics: “If you’re worried about the price, you can’t f***ing afford it.”
It comes after Gordon ended his 20-year feud with fellow celebrity chef Marco Pierre White.
The Hell’s Kitchen star admitted that a visit from his former enemy “brought a tear to his eye” as he came to one of his London restaurants.
Posting a snap of Marco, 59, holding up a Gordon Ramsay Street Burger takeaway bag, he captioned it: “So good when the Great White pops in for a burger’’, with the hashtag “broughtateartomyeye’’.
