I’m A Celeb fans were fuming when they noticed a pile of pastries go to waste during the Castle Scary-Oke trial.
The viewers were “appalled” when the show discarded of the tasty pastries, which are sold by UK pastry chain Greggs, during the episode on Thursday night (December 2).
The grim drinking trial saw Frankie Bridge join Naughty Boy in a music-themed challenge that involved them getting covered in slime and having to drink an array of nasty concoctions.
Loose Women star Frankie was left gagging on a cocktail filled with blended deer testicle, and at one point she feared she was going to throw up.
DJ Naughty Boy had to down a blended vomit fruit drink, and the pair faced blended frog’s legs, blended fish eyes and even blended pig’s anus.
However, as disgusting as the trial was, the moment that seemed to anger many ITV viewers was when a stack of yum yum pastries was dropped on top of Naughty Boy.
The yum yums ended up lying on the floor covered in sludge – hardly a state for anyone to eat them in.
Many fans felt like it was an “appalling” waste of the delicious treats, sugar-glazed doughtnuts in the shape of fingers, and they showed their support for the sweets on Twitter.
One fuming viewer penned: “What a waste of perfectly good yum yums”
A second fan tagged the official Greggs account as they wrote: “I’m not having it with all those Yum Yums being wasted in the slime on #ImACeleb @GreggsOfficial”
A third commented: “What a waste of yum yums! Better believe I would still eat them. I don’t care if they’re covered in offal and ar**”
A fourth protested: “What an appalling misuse of yum yums”
A fifth added: “The way I’d be grabbing those yum yums and shoving them down my throat”
In the trial, Frankie had to guzzle a glass of blended deer’s testicles, and she managed to sink half the drink in one go.
However, she was left gagging and threatened to throw up before she could chug the rest.
As she gagged, Ant begged her: “Don’t be sick. Don’t lose this!”
The pair were given blended fish eyes, blended pig’s anus, and blended frog’s legs.
When Frankie was assigned blended goat brain, Dec remarked: “I’m not often shocked anymore on this show Frankie Bridge, but that shocked me.”
The pair won 10 stars and 10 meals for camp out of a possible 11.
