Hollyoaks star Rishi Nair has quit the Channel 4 soap after four years.
The actor’s final scenes as Sami Maalik will play out over the Christmas period.
Digital Spy reports that the TV star filmed his final scenes in October and will bow out as part of the Maalik family’s ongoing storyline.
Fans will be able to watch Sami’s exit when Hollyoaks drop their Christmas box set after 7pm on All4 tonight (December 17).
Hollyoaks is giving everyone their Christmas gifts early this year, by not only releasing all of its festive episodes at once but by introducing a brand new family to the village too.
Following on from last year’s streaming success, the Channel 4 soap has confirmed that it will continue the tradition of releasing its festive first-look episodes on All 4 for the third year running.
The news means that Hollyoaks fans can get their soap fix at any time over the festive period, with eight episodes arriving on the catch-up platform.
As well as Sami’s exit, the episodes will feature the debut of the show’s newest family, who are set to play a pivotal part across the festive season as they integrate themselves into the village.
