Waterloo Road star Holly Matthews is unrecognisable after job U-turn and husband’s tragic death.

14 years after appearing on the BBC show the actress has become a life coach following the tragic death of her husband Ross.

The 37-year-old is best know for playing student Leigh-Ann Galloway in series two in 2007.

Leigh-Ann’s alter ego wasn’t classmates Mika Grainger biggest fan and wanted to get her own back after finding out her mum was growing close to Tom Clarkson.

The teen got her drunk and took a photo underneath her shirt when she was unconscious.

The troubled teenager sent it around the school and Leigh-Ann was excluded for her nasty behaviour.

She was never seen at Waterloo Road again.

The popular drama aired for a total of 10 series between 2006 and 2015.

Holly has since landed herself several TV roles including starring in Doctors in 2007 and again in 2009.

She has also starred in Casualty in 2011, 2012 and 2014 and later appeared in The Bill as Josie Clarke.

Holly has starred in a number of short films including That Day, Stew & Punch and The Friday Fund.

The actresses last role was back in 2018 and has since concentrated on The Happy Me Project.

The project was set up in 2017 after Holly’s husband Ross Blair tragically died of brain cancer.

The property developer was diagnosed in 2014 with a rare grade-4 primitive neuroectodermal tumour.

The couple tied the knot in 2012 and have two daughter together Brooke, 10, and Texas, eight.

Holly shared her heartbreak online and decided to help others going through a difficult time.

She now offers a Facebook group for support, one to one coaching, her YouTube channel and also records a podcast.

The founder of The Happy Me Project writes in her bio that the project is: “Helping YOU feel more happy & less crappy.”
