Holly Willoughby's neighbour 'dispute' over £3million 'castle' home explained

Holly Willoughby has been facing some serious drama with the neighbours of her London family home.

The TV presenter shares her abode with her producer husband and their three children, however, nearby residents are not happy with the clan.

Although Holly is super bubbly and smiley on This Morning, it turns out she has been facing turmoil behind closed doors.

The 41-year-old host’s neighbours are trying to halt her plans for the planned extension of her £3 million home.

Her neighbours are reportedly upset with plans to build on her current property in the hope of creating her “dream home”.

Holly, husband Dan Baldwin and her three kids Harry, 12, Belle, 10, and Chester, seven, have all been living there since 2011.

The family’s original plan was to add a first-floor side and front extension to the impressive six-bedroom property.

Fortunately for Holly, plans have been granted permission by the local London council, however, the families nearby are not impressed.

Neighbour Liliana Velez told The Sun: “Having the noise all week all day for so many months is not the standard of living in such an expensive area to live…

She added: “I do not pay taxes to get this level of disruption, it is not quality of life.”

Another local resident, Julie Halstead, also said that “further development as per proposal, would severely impact the character and nature of this part of the road and community”.

There were also concerns by the same neighbours about local wildlife with Julie saying it could be harmed by Holly’s extension plans.

However, their noise complaints have been dismissed by the council’s planning officer, who originally rejected the extension plans but later granted them permission to extend.

Back in 2016, the same people previously objected to an application for a two-storey extension the same year they Holly and Dan had been approved to build a “super basement”.

In 2013, Holly’s husband Dan also responded to noise complaints made against the family from an anonymous tipper.

He then took it upon himself to respond by emailing 50 local residents and denied the claim and slammed the complaint’s tone, claiming it was “rude and aggressive”.

Daily Star has contacted Holly’s spokesman for comment, who said: “Appreciate you reaching out. We won’t be commenting on this – it’s a very old story that’s just doing the rounds again.”
