EastEnders actress Maisie Smith, who played Tiffany Butcher for 13 years, has reportedly landed a huge new job alongside Alison Hammond and Vernon Kay.
The 20-year-old actress left the BBC soap in December last year after playing Tiff ever since she was just six years old, but will return for one more episode as Zack Morris also prepares to leave the show.
She also competed in Strictly Come Dancing back in 2020 and replaced AJ Odudu on this year’s Strictly Come Dancing Tour.
Since her ‘Enders days, Maisie has made a few television appearances but has allegedly landed herself a gig alongside presenting veterans Vernon and Alison.
Friends Like This was originally presented by dynamic duo Ant and Dec and sees two teams compete against each other for a holiday prize.
It has been reported that Maisie will take on the role of team captain on the new BBC show.
A source told The Sun Online: “Maisie has just filmed a pilot episode and it’s unclear if it’ll air but it’s a great sign. She’s landing these kinds of shows after Strictly and EastEnders.”
It seems the Essex girl’s charm has rubbed off on her co-stars: “Everyone thought she was really great on the show. She’s so naturally funny, so it’ll be the first of many new jobs.”
She was seen smiling as she left the recording studio and took a few snaps with some fans as they waited for her.
The actress was also seen leaving the Manchester BBC studios after filming for BBC One’s Morning Live, where she demonstrated her usual work out session.
Maisie wore a black puffer jacket, long scarf and duffel bag as she bundled up after her performance.
She filmed alongside hosts Sam Quek and Gethin Jones, who she put through their paces in a bright pink workout t-shirt, a black headband and black leggings.
On Morning Love she was asked by Kym Marsh if she could reveal any information about her one-episode return to Albert Square.
All she could reveal was that she thought anything she said would “get her into trouble,” but did say that she “hoped a few unresolved storylines” will finally come to their conclusion.
