Coronation Street fans were left distracted during a nail-biting instalment of the popular ITV soap as they struggled to take Adam Barlow seriously while he rocked a full head of curls.
During Monday (March 21) night’s show, the ongoing feud between ex-girlfriend Lydia Chambers and the TV hunk as they argued it out on the top floor of a shopping centre.
Throughout the hour-long episode, the solicitor pleaded with his former flame to explain her meddling to his estranged wife as she prepares to draw up the papers for their divorce.
But things soon went from bad to worse when the brunette beauty accidentally pushed him over the railings and badly injure his head.
However, many viewers struggled to take the show seriously as he rocked the “poodle” haircut on screen, while fans swarmed to Twitter to comment on his new look online.
One user penned: “Good gosh look at Adam’s hair. He’s only gone and morphed into Samir #Corrie.”
Another questioned: “Does Adam use the same hair products as Simon Barlow?? #Corrie.”
A third chimed in with: “Adam – get your hair cut FFS! #Corrie” while another noted: “Poodle hair Adam #Corrie.”
It comes as eagle eyed viewers were left questioning the epic shopping centre showdown during the tense instalment.
During the episode, Adam and his stalker Lydia met in a coffee shop to discuss their past and it’s fair to say things soon took a turn for the worse when Lydia noticed he was recording their conversation.
As their argument argument intensified, Lydia told Adam just how much his treatment of her during their early relationship affected her.
However her former flame appeared to ignore her point of view leading her to slapping him before she accidentally pushed him over a first floor railing.
But many viewers couldn’t help but notice how absent the shopping mall was as they quizzed whether soap bosses had made a mistake in failing to hire extras for the scene.
One user penned: “Could #Corrie not afford any extras in this shopping centre?!?!?”
Another pointed out: “It’s a bit quiet in that shopping centre” while a third joked: “Busy shopping centre !”
