Emmerdale fans are sure serial killer Meena Jutla has taken the life of a secret victim, after it was revealed she killed her own dad earlier this week.
As Meena’s trial came to an epic end, with her taking Manpreet – and the court – hostage, things looked like they couldn’t get any wilder as Meena escaped into the courtyard.
But when Manpreet turned the mirror shard knife on her sister, Meena couldn’t help but gloat that she’d killed their dad, preventing her sister from saying goodbye at the end of his life.
He had been battling cancer, with Meena injecting enough morphine into his drip at the end to finish him off.
Laughing, she asked Manpreet: “What, you didn’t think Nadine was my first, did you?”
It brings her death tally up to five – her dad, her pal Nadine, Leanna Cavanagh, Andrea Tate and Ben Tucker.
But fans are now certain Meena took a sixth, secret victim – the lorry driver she escaped with after Liam caught her holding Manpreet and Vinny Dingle hostage in the barn, attempting to kill them with toxic exhaust fumes.
Taking to Facebook, one fan theorised: “The lorry driver could be dead somewhere. It’ll be okay though, because she can say she wasn’t herself and it was self defence!”
Another added: “I think she has done the lorry driver in, I wonder how many more she has done in as well!”
“Did we not see a random body in or beside a lorry a while back? Or did I imagine it?” a third fan wondered, while someone else echoed: “Don’t think I saw a body by a lorry… but sometimes these scenes are so dark, I can’t see anything that’s happening!”
Another posted: “He’s six feet under!”
It would make sense – especially after Meena screeched: “Why do all the men in my life let me down?!”
Others are even more certain Meena’s story arc can’t be over – with some hedging their bets that she’ll return for the soap’s 50th anniversary later this year.
Emmerdale turns half a century old in October, and producers have been planning some epic storylines for its birthday.
Another clue lies in Meena’s final words to her sister, as she bellowed: “This isn’t how it ends!” while being dragged back to her cell by prison guards.
“Yes it is, sis,” Manpreet called after her.
But is she right?
Emmerdale airs weeknights from 7:30pm on ITV.
