Tom Parker's GoFundMe – how to donate after The Wanted star's emotional funeral

Tom Parker tragically lost his life on March 30 following a battle with an aggressive brain tumour aged 33.

His death has been met by an outpouring of love and support from The Wanted fans, his friends and family.

Tom leaves behind his wife Kelsey, 32, and their two young children, Aurelia and Bodhi.

Today, April 20, is the day of Tom’s funeral. It was a morning of celebration of life held in Petts Wood in south-east London attended by his Wanted bandmates and an emotional Liam Payne.

Hundreds of people lined the streets approaching the church where the private ceremony was held.

Tom’s bandmates carried his coffin as his favourite Oasis tune, Champagne Supernova, played.

The coffin was bought to the church by a horse-drawn carriage, where tributes were paid by Kelsey and bandmate Max George, 33.

The touching tributes and hundreds of adoring fans who came out to show their respects are just a small symbol of the love Tom has in the UK.

The extent of this is nowhere clearer than in the GoFundMe page dedicated to his name.

How can you give to Tom Parker’s GoFundMe page?

April 20 saw Tom Parker’s funeral, as hundreds came out to pay respects

A fundraiser on GoFundMe set up by Tom Parker’s wife Kelsey has raised a huge sum of cash in the memory of the singer. To donate, simply hit the orange button and specify how much you want to give.

At the time of writing it has gathered more than £59,000, beating its target of £5,000 almost 12 times over.

In a post on the page, Kelsey wrote: “We want to take everyone’s incredible love, support and generosity and turn our grief into something positive and to keep Tom’s memory alive forever. We politely request that instead of gifts and flowers, donations are made to this GoFundMe account with all proceeds eventually going to amazing causes in Tom’s name, to help others in need.”

Despite the target having been smashed, Kelsey is encouraging people to keep donating, “for Tom and for the people we will be able to help in his memory”.

Writing an update on the fund on April 13 she said: “The last 2 weeks since Tom left us have obviously been very difficult but my family, friends and myself have continued to bring positivity into everything we do and will make sure that we celebrate everything amazing about Tom next week.

“Reading all the heartwarming messages from everyone has really shone a light on just what a legend my Tom is and has highlighted just how many amazing goals he achieved in life and especially in the last 18 months.

“Thank you again and please continue to donate and share.”
