Stars of the ITV soap Coronation Street have been showing big love to their co-star Harriet Bibby after a huge announcement this week.
It was revealed that the young actress, who plays 16-year-old Summer Spellman in the show, has been put up for a National Television Award.
The huge event, which is set to take place in September, announced its long list of talented actors and actresses up for the special award with many Corrie stars making the cut.
Harriet is up for the best Serial Drama Performance in the ITV soap after her harrowing storyline of struggling with an eating disorder over exam stress and her diabetes diagnosis.
Harriet isn’t the only Corrie star in the category either as she’s up against co-stars Charlie De Melo, who plays Imran Habeeb, and his on-screen wife Toyah, played by Georgia Taylor.
Corrie legend Maureen Lipman, who plays Evelyn Plummer, is also up for an award along with Kelly Neelan actress Millie Gibson.
There are also stars from other hit soaps that have been nominated including Gillian Wright who plays Jean Slater in EastEnders, actor Harvey Virdi who portrays Misbah Maalik in Hollyoaks and Marlon Dingle actor Mark Charnock in Emmerdale.
People were quick to show their love and support for Harriet on the nomination including her on-screen bestie Amy Barlow, played by Elle Mulvaney.
Taking to her Instagram story, the actress wrote: “She’s only gone and got nominated for an NTA!”
She then encouraged all her followers to vote for her friend and other Corrie stars.
Elle also tweeted saying: “Super super proud to say that the brilliant @HarrietBibby is up for an NTA!!!!” before retweeting a post and adding: “The TALENT in this category.”
Her on-screen boyfriend Jacob Hay, played by Jack James Ryan, shared a photo of himself and Harriet together in Manchester saying: “My best little mucker @harrietanneb is now officially an NTA nominated actress.”
He then told his followers to “vote for her immediately”.
Harriet isn’t the only star that Jack was backing for the nomination as he showed some love to Paddy Bever who made his debut on Coronation Street last year.
Next to a behind-the-scenes photo of Paddy on the set of the soap, Jack wrote: “He’s always been my rising star but you now have the opportunity to make him the nation’s rising star.”
The annual National Television Awards will take place at the OVO Arena Wembley in September.
They’ll once again be hosted by The Masked Singer presenter and comedian Joel Dommett.
This year a new category has been added for 2022 for Expert, with Steven Bartlett, Martin Lewis, Jay Blades and Wim Hof up for the award.
