BBC Breakfast presenter Naga Munchetty had an awkward encounter with Saturday Kitchen host Matt Tebbutt during the video link crossover.
As Matt ran through the chefs and guests appearing on his show, Naga hit out at the presenter for his actions towards her BBC co-star.
Matt asked Olly: ““What have you got for us?”
Olly replied: “In addition to being World Gin Day, it’s National Rose Day,” to which Matt responded: “There’s a day for everything.”
The host hit back: “There’s a day for you Matt, every day in my heart.”
Matt then pretended to be sick over Olly’s comments, which Naga didn’t seem to be impressed by.
She told Matt: “You know what I’m not feeling that.
“Stop giving Olly a hard time.
“He’s so nice to you and then you’re just rude, so rude.”
Matt replied: “He just sort of invites it, he’s so nice to me it pushes me the other way, it’s a bit like that.”
Naga then sighed and said: “Okay. So, anyone who meets Matt Tebbutt just don’t be nice to him, that’s just the general rule.”
The BBC Breakfast host also had an awkward exchange with her co-star Charlie Stayt as they looked at artwork together during Saturday’s episode.
Naga told him: “So this is a broccoli floret obviously.
“And here are two ants lifting the broccoli to take it away to their net and it was caught on camera by a photographer in Indonesia, and I just thought it was fabulous.”
As Charlie commented on the ants and whether it had happened by chance, Naga quickly lost her temper as she tried to move the conversation on.
She told him: “Does it matter?
“Does it matter, the fact of it is the ants are picking up a beautiful bit of broccoli and it’s a lovely picture.”
The awkward exchange led Charlie to bite his tongue and quickly move on with a new segment.
BBC Breakfast airs weekdays at 6am on BBC.
