Kate was shown on screen after going viral following a clip of her feeding and looking after a fox in her garden, which was aired on the show due to a debate on feeding foxes.

However, the hosts hadn’t noticed that there were some undesirable words on Kate’s shirt, which was flagged to them after.

Ben said: “Also apologies… apparently the T-shirt in that video may have had a swear word on. I didn’t see it, but…”

Charlotte chimed in: “If you’re eagle-eyed and offended we apologise,” as Ben confessed that it had “slipped through the net”.

The hosts issued a statement after the “offensive” top was picked up by fans.

One user wrote: “Did ITV forget to blur Kate Beckinsale’s top?”

While another said: “Kate Beckinsale’s top… a bit early GMB!”

Kate’s top aside, the star was hit with backlash after feeding foxes, prompting the ITV show to welcome two opposing views on the show to discuss feeding the wild animals.

The star has maintained her stance as she encouraged people to “live peacefully” alongside wildlife.

She wrote on Twitter: “As we take over more of the countryside, they will naturally be pushed to live closer to us. See the joy of being able to watch these stunning animals, not the inconvenience.

“Humans are way more destructive than foxes.”

However, following an influx of backlash Kate has told her Instagram followers that she will not be sharing any more photos of the fox, Peepo.

Alongside a photo of him she said: “Trust that our little fox will continue to be looked after responsibly, just not in a position to be weaponised.

“Here are a few solo pictures for those who liked seeing him/her as a little goodbye.”

The star has also cleared her Instagram of other snaps of the fox, but the one which remains has been inundated with sweet comments as she encouraged fans to be kind following a “hard week”.
