Coronation Street star Sally Ann Matthews has teased more “trouble” for her character Jenny Bradley as her beau Leo goes missing – with Stephen Reid as the culprit.
It hasn’t been an easy few years for Jenny after the death of her husband Johnny Connor in the sinkhole which left the street torn apart – but Jenny finally managed to move on and planned to move to Canada with her new boyfriend.
A drunken snog with Stephen threw Jenny’s plans into disarray, and when Stephen blabs to Leo the truth about what happened, she’s left devastated.

And things only go further downhill when she wakes to find his suitcase and passport missing – and assumes he’s emigrated by himself.
Speaking to Daily Star and other press, actress Sally Ann said: “Leo finds out some information about Stephen’s [finances], and Jenny is spinning plates in the Rovers trying to keep everybody happy and separate and make everything all right.
“But there’s too much of a spotlight on Stephen, so he just blabs that he snogged Jenny.”
The star went on: “The night before they’re supposed to go to Canada, Leo has gone out with his mates for a final meal and doesn’t come home.
“Worse, his dad Teddy rocks up and says, ‘That Jenny flaming Bradley, why are you wasting your time with her?’
“So Leo has fallen out with his dad now, and said a few things to Daisy which made her think he’s having second thoughts about Jenny.”
As for Jenny, who discovers her boyfriend missing, Sally Ann said: “Jenny is really struggling. She’s feeling very insecure, she feels rejected, she feels old and frumpy. She’s just going to get herself into more trouble.

“If I was her friend… a side of me would be saying get some answers from Leo! But then the other side would be saying that his actions speak louder than words, so what’s the point in going after him? He’s made his decision.
“He’s gone to Canada, he obviously didn’t forgive you for snogging Stephen, so get over it. Even if you find him and track him down it’s not going to work!”
But could Stephen take more victims on the cobbles? Viewers will have to wait and see.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 8pm on ITV
