But what fans may not know is that the brunette hunk also has a secret second job alongside his work as a key judge on the star-studded panel.

After working on the show since its beginning back in 2004, the devilish judge has slowly started to work more behind the scenes.

Back in 2008, the successful dance competition decided to take things on the road after BBC bosses launched the Strictly Come Dancing: The Live Tour!

Their show travels up and down the country accompanied by the star-studded judging panel Motsi Mabuse, Anton Du Beke, head judge Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel Horwood.

But what viewers may not know is that the beloved judge directs and co-choreographs the show every year.

Since then he has started taking on more of a producer role backstage

However, it appears as though this year the Strictly tour wasn’t enough to keep the star occupied, after he launched his new stage show Strictly Ballroom: The Musical.

Based on the award-winning worldwide film phenomenon, the tour is travelling up and down the country from September 2022 until July 2023.

It follows the story of one maverick championship ballroom dancer Scott who defies all the rules of the competition to follow his heart by teaming up with his flat-footed partner Fran to win the National Championship.

Stepping into the roles are former Strictly pro Kevin Clifton and ex-EastEnders star Maisie Smith which he is produced by the menacing judge after he shared his special connection with the 1992 Australian romantic comedy.

Speaking of the influence of the movie, Craig said: “It’s been part of my Christmas, I’ve got to admit for the last 20 years, actually.

“I watch it every Christmas because I love it, and it just reminds me of home, and now I’ve got opportunity to direct and choreograph with Jason Gilkison, who does all the lead choreography on Strictly Come Dancing, the TV show.

“And of course, Strictly Come Dancing got its name – Strictly – from Strictly Ballroom the movie. And now it’s a musical.”

He explained why the film reminded him of home, the judge added: “I was born in Ballarat in Australia, which is near Melbourne.

“It’s an old gold mining city. I was born there. Obviously, I spent my whole life there until I was 23 there.

“And when I was 23, I decided to don a G-string and a feather headdress and go to the Lido de Paris on the Champs-Élysées in Paris because I thought, ‘Well, 23, I’ve got a great body. This isn’t going to last forever,’ and I thought, ‘Well, I may as well show it off in Paris’.”
