My Three Sons star Dawn Lyn is fighting for her life in a coma after undergoing surgery to remove a brain tumour.
The former child star shot to fame at the age of six after playing Dorothy Dodie Harper-Douglas on the CBS sitcom for its last three seasons.
The now 59-year-old’s condition was revealed on social media by her former co-stars including Stanley Livingston who urged fans to pray for Dawn’s recovery.

He wrote: “Just found out my little TV Sis’, DAWN LYN (Dodie), is in a COMA and fighting for her life. She had surgery recently to remove a brain tumor.
“Please pray for her to have a swift and full recovery. I took Dawn out to lunch a couple of months ago. We had a great time reminiscing about our MTS days. Dawn is one of the nicest human beings I have ever known.
“Thoughts and prayers also go out to her husband, John, at this time. This is devastating news!”
Tina Cole, who played Katie Miller-Douglas on the show, also added a heartfelt message.
She penned: “My heartfelt prayers go out to my “My Three Sons” sweet “lil’ sis”, Dawn Lyn (Dodie) and her husband John. Dawn is fighting for her life after undergoing brain surgery.”
While Dawn’s brother Leif Garrett, 60, spoke to TMZ and asked fans to respect the family’s privacy after admitting they have lost people close to them recently.
He told the publication: “My sister, Dawn, never wanted anyone to know about the surgery.
“Since it has been leaked on social media, I would really appreciate everyone’s understanding that it has already been a difficult time having lost both of our parents and a cousin recently.
“Please just keep my sister in your thoughts and prayers and respect our family’s privacy. Thank you.”
My Three Sons won a Golden Globe for Best Television Show in 1962 while Dawn joined the cast seven years later, playing the role of Dorothy from 1969-1972.
