Good Morning Britain presenter Susanna Reid slammed a Just Stop Oil activist for having the “audacity” to claim the ITV programme was causing a “distraction” from their cause.
Activist Sam, who admitted he hadn’t watched the morning show previously, said Just Stop Oil would continue their disruptive protest tactics and blamed the media and shows like GMB for causing a distraction.
Susanna quickly fired back, shocked at Sam’s audacity.

“You have the audacity to come on here and say we’re contributing to the distraction when you don’t even know what we do here,” she shouted.
Susanna also referred to GMB’s meteorologist Laura Tobin, who in recent weeks has raised awareness about the climate crisis during her segment on the show.
Prior to the fiery clash, tensions began to rise when presenter Ed Balls claimed the protestors were losing public support after their protest on the M25 on Wednesday morning had been slammed by motorists.
Ed said: “You’re making it harder for sensible people who want to help climate change, you’re losing public support.”
Unphased, the activist replied: “The polls say people support non-violent protests”, following their earlier remark that they’d continue their protests unless the Government released a statement.”
Susanna hit back, astonished at his response.
She said: “We’re talking about your tactics, we’ve spoken about the consequences and you’ve said you’re going to do it anyway, it’s a threat”, she said.
After the clash, Susanna stopped the interview, having heard enough from the activist and feeling enraged over their claims about the show.
