Corrie, Hollyoaks and Emmerdale spoilers: Killer 'returns', sad exit and affair exposed

Soap fans can expect plenty of drama in Emmerdale, EastEnders, Coronation Street and Hollyoaks next week.

Britain’s favourite serial dramas are starting to play out the start of their festive storylines with Christmas just around the corner.

While some characters may not make it to the big day, it looks like there’s plenty of heartbreak in store for many of our favourites.

Daily Star has taken a sneak peek at the week ahead including an affair finally exposed in Emmerdale village, a serial killer ‘returns’ in Weatherfield, more drama for Amy Mitchell in Walford and a shock exit in Hollyoaks.

John Stape “returns” to Weatherfield in upcoming scenes as Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) hosts a séance to contact her late serial killer father.

Meanwhile, When Amy Barlow (Elle Mulvaney) finds morning sickness pills in the bin, Summer Spellman’s (Harriet Bibby) forced to admit that she lost her baby over a week ago.

Also, Alya Nazir (Sair Khan) confronts Griff Reynolds (Michael Condron) over his racist comments and threatens to call his employer but he warns her that she’ll regret it if she does.

EastEnders

Albert Square youngster Amy Mitchell’s self-harming lands her in hospital next week.

A guilt-ridden Jack Branning (Ellie Dadd) is at Amy’s bedside when a nurse tells him his daughter must see a psychiatrist before being discharged.

Elsewhere, Martin Fowler (James Bye) visits Sonia Fowler (Natalie Cassidy), who’s struggling to come to terms with the death of Dot Cotton.

Also, Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) learns she’s pregnant.

Emmerdale

Bernice Blackstock struggles to digest her diagnosis as she grapples with both loneliness and other menopausal symptoms

Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb) and Amy Wyatt (Natalie Ann Jamieson) return from Belfast and the atmosphere is frosty with Matty Barton (Ash Palmisciano).

Meanwhile Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) plots to keep her affair a secret and Bernice Blackstock (Samantha Giles) struggles to digest her diagnosis as she grapples with both loneliness and other menopausal symptoms.

Also, Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) is determined to rise to the challenge when Kim Tate (Claire King) suggests her for an important meeting with a man called Darren about the stud farm project.

Hollyoaks

Theresa McQueen (Jorgie Porter) tells boyfriend Romeo Nightingale (Owen Warner) that she’s going to leave the village next week since nothing has been great since she’s returned.

It’s a heartbreaking goodbye for the couple as she decides to turn her back on Hollyoaks once again.

Also, Verity Hutchinson (Eva O’Hara) gets viscously attacked and left for dead.

Meanwhile, Bobby Costello (Jayden Fox) overhears Goldie McQueen’s (Chelsee Healey) plan to get him behind bars and a tense conversation between the pair ends with a sinister threat
