Prince Harry's former flame slams Meghan Markle in brutal 'self slander' dig

Prince Harry’s ex-flame Catherine Ommanney has made a savage dig at Meghan Markle on Good Morning Britain.

On Tuesday’s episode (January 10), Catherine joined hosts Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid to talk about the controversial prince.

Catherine said she was 34 and Harry was 21 when they conducted their steamy fling 17 years ago.

She said: “He had 20-year-olds around him who wanted to be with him and I listened to him a lot but maybe the others didn’t and maybe that’s what he needed.”

Susanna then asked: “Do you think he’s found that in Meghan?”

To which his ex replied: “I’m not going to slander Meghan – she’s done that enough herself.”

Susanna explained: “I’m not suggesting you should slander her I was looking at it in a positive way.”

Catherine responded: “Well you say a positive way, I don’t know what he’s found in Meghan, I’m just really sad for him and the Royal Family because I don’t think he’s going to recover from this quickly.”

Talking about her relationship with Harry, she said: “As soon as it was leaked I had to leave my house for three weeks because all the press was outside of my house. It was horrendous, I was chased down the street.

“But it was never going to be a relationship.”

She also revealed that she “won’t be rushing” to read Harry’s new book titled Spare.

The book has been officially released on UK shelves, however most of it has already been shared online and sent royal fans wild.

The hot topic book was accidentally released in Spain, with early readers revealing some bizarre points, including about Harry losing his virginity, and him getting a frostbitten penis.

Harry has left no stone unturned and also revealed the ins and outs of his family drama, highlighting the still tense relationship between him and his dad and brother.
