Lorraine was absent from her self-titled talk show for a third consecutive day in a row.

As Good Morning Britain crossed over to her show on Friday, Lorraine was nowhere to be seen and Ranvir replaced her to front the programme.

Lorraine confirmed on Wednesday she had got up for work as normal before being attacked by a “hideous bug” and was unable to carry on with her show, as bosses urged her to go home and rest.

Good Morning Britain presenters Kate Garraway and Ed Balls were expecting to cross over to Lorraine but no one was there, and they confirmed Lorraine was sent home after feeling unwell.

They said it was the first time in a long time, maybe ever, that Lorraine had missed a show because she was ill.

The TV legend later took to Twitter to confirm she was sick before “suddenly being attacked” by an unknown illness.
