Ryan Reynolds isn’t just the man who helped steer Wrexham AFC back to the Football League after 15 years – he’s also a pretty successful Hollywood star with a legion of fans.
But while the idea of getting hit and steamy with the movie star might fill many women with joy, one of his female co-stars said it wasn’t exactly a bed of roses.
Morena Baccarin, who played his love interest in Deadpool, said she loved every bit of being in the film – except the two days she spent shooting a sex scene.

The actress, 43, plays Vanessa Carlysle, the fiancee of Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, played by Reynolds.
In one saucy montage in the 2016 movie the pair are seen romping on different US holidays, including Christmas, Valentine’s Day and even International Women’s Day
But she said it wasn’t enjoyable at all.
On starring in the film, she told TV host Conan O’Brien back in 2017: “It was really fun… minus the two days of sex scenes, it was wonderful, the whole experience.
“It took two days to shoot the sex scene because I think it was us making sweet love for an entire calendar year. So it was all the holidays, you know. So we dressed differently for every one.
“Believe me, there’s a lot left on the cutting room floor, because there are a lot of holidays. And I feel good about that — the part that was left out.”
She added: “I literally mean that was enough sex. Like nobody needs to see more than what was in the movie!”
However, she said the duration of the sex scene wasn’t the only issue.
In 2018 she told People magazine that kissing Reynolds wasn’t “ideal”.
She said: “I keep saying that kissing him in that mask is like kissing a giant latex condom. It basically just smells like rubber the entire time.”
She did however praise Reynolds’ “professionalism”, which made the scenes “bearable”.
She added: “[T]here’s a lot of laughing. And that stuff is always uncomfortable,” she told Collider in 2015, “But, we made the best of it.”
“By the end of the day you’re like ‘Okay, where do you want me, how do you-?’ You’re like spreading your legs and you’re like whatever, it’s just, you get so used to each other.”
Reynolds and another actor, Rob McElhenney, are co-owners of Wrexham AFC, who were promoted to League Two at the weekend.
