EastEnders’ Carly Wicks star shares sweet gift from on-screen brother Matt Di Angelo

EastEnders star Kellie Shirley last appeared on EastEnders in 2012 – but it seems she still has strong relations in Walford.

The actress, who played Carly Wicks on the BBC One soap, left to focus on other acting credits including more stage performances, but she’s still getting a load of support from her ex co-stars.

Kellie recently welcomed her youngest tot after giving birth to a baby boy mere weeks ago after already giving birth to twins years prior.

And after giving birth once again, her former co-stars are sharing their love and support, particularly her on-screen brother, Matt Di Angelo.

Speaking to OK! Magazine shortly after giving birth, Kellie explained who she’s still in touch with, including Emma Barton who plays Honey Mitchell and Pam St Clement, who played Pat Butcher.

She also shared the sweet sentiment from Matt, who played Dean Wicks on the soap, telling the publication: “Matt Di Angelo, who played my brother in EastEnders, had twins in the summer and sent me loads of baby stuff, hand-me-downs.

“I’ll start venturing out to see people soon, once I’ve recovered.”

Kellie confirmed the birth of her son on Instagram and her pals immediately rushed to share their sweet comments.

Ex co-star Emma Barton wrote: “Adorable,” while actress Angela Griffin said: “Gorgeous!!!”

Kellie previously explained that the news of her tot came as a complete surprise and was filming a CBeebies show Biff & Chip in Manchester when she suddenly started feeling unwell.

She said she believed the heat was getting to her and the on set medic asked her if she was pregnant, but she said she was “hardly seeing” her husband, but after being sick for a few more weeks she got a pregnancy test.

She said it was a “really lovely surprise” adding that she feels “really lucky”.

Her son is the third child she shares with her husband Phil Davies.
