BBC Breakfast in major shakeup as Naga Munchetty presents show on her own

BBC Breakfast underwent a drastic change during the latest episode as presenter Naga Munchetty presented the programme on her own.

On Friday’s show (May 12), Naga, who usually presents the popular morning programme alongside journalist Charlie Stayt delivered the news from the famous red sofa in Salford by herself.

But Charlie wasn’t completely missing from BBC Breakfast, as he appeared live from Liverpool where he interviewed a number of guests about the upcoming Eurovision event.

A third fan also fumed: “Naga on a Friday, no thanks!”

Another echoed: “Naga did quite well.”

Offering an opposing view, a third viewer said: “God! Naga Munchetty is getting more and more rude to her interviewees. Asks a question and even before the question is answered, she talks over the interviewee! Get it sorted.”

While Naga gave her interviewees a grilling in the studio, Charlie took a much more light-hearted approach as he spoke to excited Eurovision attendees.

Charlie appeared in Liverpool

Interviewing Mel Giedroyc who will be commentating on the show on Saturday (May 13), Mel appeared to insinuate that she hadn’t trained for the role.

She confessed: “Charlie, I don’t know what the training for that sort of is.

“I think I need to be doing some sort of vocal exercises or something, gargling with honey,” she joked.

Mel is also added that atmosphere in Liverpool is magnificent.

The Eurovision Song Contest is making its return to the UK for the first time in 25 years,

Britain, who came second last year is hosting the event on behalf of winners Ukraine who are currently fighting a war against Russia.
