GMB’s Andi Peters fires back at ‘rude’ colleague on air after brutal wardrobe dig

Good Morning Britain’s Andi Peters fired back at a “rude” member of staff after they made a savage dig at his wardrobe choice.

Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway were back at the helm of the hit ITV show on Friday (June 16).

But when it was time for show favourite Andi to tell viewers about the latest competition things took an awkward turn.

Appearing from another sun-soaked location, Andi was dressed in a rather colourful polo shirt.

“Andi is here to tell you all about a huge cash prize to give away,” Ben said.

GMB took an awkward turn

“I say Andi, we’ve had a message from Doug [the show’s technical director] is that Andi or Bertie Basset hosting the competition for us this morning.”

His fellow co-stars then burst out in laughter – while Andi did not look too impressed.

A picture of the famous confectionary character then appeared on the screen alongside Andi.

“You can’t see the picture we’re looking at Andy, but there’s a likeness there,” Ben quipped.

But it seems Andi wasn’t having it and fired back: “Can I just say, Doug, you’re rude you’re not funny, but you do have a good eye and an observation.”

“Maybe I do look slightly like a liquorice allsorts?” He said, while laughing along with his co-stars.

“I can’t believe you’ve done that,” he added, before trying to move swiftly on.

It’s not been the only awkward moment to take place on GMB this week.

On Thursday (June 15) Ranvir Singh made a live blunder after “not getting in until half one in the morning” due to being at a Lionel Richie gig.

Ranvir fluffed her words on GMB yesterday (June 15)

Despite her lack of sleep, everything was running smoothly on GMB – that was until it was time for Ranvir to inform viewers of an upcoming segment.

Still to come,” Ranvir began, before adding: “Finding out which singing superstar is being blamed for Sweden’s high in-.”

But suddenly, she stopped mid-sentence and seemed to struggle to read the autocue.

“Is that how you say it?” she quizzed while muttering: “Infatuation?”

Correcting her, co-host Ben chimed in and said: “Inflation.”

In a savage dig, while she fluffed her words, Ranvir’s pal and co-star Ben quipped: “You might want to try reading it before reading it live.”
