Love Island Movie Night return date confirmed and ITV2 viewers don’t have long to wait

Love Island fans have been sent into meltdown as the return date for Movie Night has finally been revealed.

The iconic challenge will make an epic comeback during Sunday’s (July 9) show.

Girls and boys will get to watch exactly what their partners got up too during the Casa Amor “test”.

At the end of Friday’s (July 7) episode, voiceover Iain Stirling informed fans on what they can expect from the next episode.

As a trailer teased Movie Night, ITV2 viewers took to Twitter to share their excitement.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Don’t know whether to be excited for Movie Night or not because i know the girls are gonna be in more trouble than the boys.”

Another added: “Movie Night, i’m excited.”

A third person posted: “I mean I’m excited for the Movie Night but can we please have a vote, to many damn islanders in there.”

While a fourth social media user said: “Movie Night……I’m too excited.”

It comes after The Sun reported this season’s Movie Night will be the “most dramatic yet”.

A source told the publication: “Movie Night is always one of the most anticipated events in Love Island, but this year it stands to be the most chaotic ever as it comes just hours after the most explosive Casa Amor recoupling yet.

“Every couple in the villa will be affected by the truth bombs that will be screened, and it remains to be seen which pairs will be left standing in the wreckage.”

Fans will remember that the Movie Night that took place last series sparked hundreds of Ofcom complaints.

A total of 337 complaints were made across the episodes aired on February 22 and 23 – with the Movie Night receiving 266 of those complaints alone.

A spokesperson for the broadcasting watchdog regulators confirmed at the time: “The majority of complaints related to Tanya’s behaviour towards Shaq and Olivia’s behaviour towards Kai.”
