Kristen Bell has told how and her family were “kicked out” of the Boston Logan International Airport – after trying to sleep on the floor following nightmare delays to their flight.
The Frozen star had been travelling with her husband, fellow actor Dax Shepard, and their two children on Wednesday when their journey turned into a nightmare after their flight was initially delayed for seven hours before being moved to the next day.
But matters got even worse when they discovered there were no hotels available within 50 miles, according to the famous couple’s social media posts.

The Hollywood actors forked out $600 (£468) on pillows and blankets to sleep on the floor of the airport, only to later be “kicked out” with nowhere to go.
“Stranded at the Boston airport, 9 hours of delays,” Kristen wrote on her Instagram story alongside a snap of her family and friends sitting at the gate.
The Good Place actress told her followers they’d been passing time by playing Uno and Spades.
But when their flight was moved to the next day they decided to settle down in the airport for the night, forking out for pillows, blankets, bed sheets and neck pillows to create a makeshift bedroom at the gate.
“We made quite a home here,” Kristen joked as she shared another picture of herself with a toothbrush hanging out of her mouth.
Dax posted an Instagram reel of the family’s ordeal to his own Instagram, telling his followers there were “ZERO vacancies in the greater Boston area.”
In the video, bed sheets can be seen spread out across the airport floor as Kristen joked she needs to take her shoes off “when I’m in my bedroom”.
She removed her trainers before proceeding to walk onto the sheets and calling their airport bedroom “perfect”.
But while it may have looked like a humble set-up, the couple revealed they’d had to fork out a hefty amount of cash to make themselves comfortable.
“How much money have you spent on blankets and neck pillows?” Kristen can be heard asking in the video.
Dax replies: “$350.. and then you’ve spent a little bit more.”
“$253 for bed sheets,” Kristen added.
Dax was left shocked after calculating their total, saying: “Oh my god so we’re at $600, could have been a really nice hotel but they’re all taken.”
Kristen joked back: “It’s $600 a night to stay at Boston International.”
But Dax revealed the family did use a thrifty hack to save themselves some money at least.
He explained: “The punchline is even though I spent $350 on neck pillows and blankets I decided to just buy one toothbrush for the whole family to share, I wanted to save $2.30 so we’re ahead a little bit, we’re ahead $7.50.”
After forking out hundreds of dollars for their comfy airport set-up the family were left disappointed when they were told they weren’t allowed to stay.
“We wanted to stay but we were kicked out,” Kristen wrote on another video showing the area they’d spent time creating.
Luckily after being left stranded some friends of friends came to the family’s rescue and offered them some space in their attic for the night.
Sharing a picture of their beds in the attic, Kristen wrote: “Thankfully we found friends of friends who offered us their attics and accepted us at 1am!!!!!!”
Fans gave their sympathies to the family but were left shocked to realise celebrities have to deal with the same nightmare situations as “normal” people.
One person wrote: “I truly don’t mean this to be mean but I didn’t think this stuff happened to rich people.”
Another added: “I love that you guys are just normal f***ing people.”
“Celebrities, they’re just like us,” a third joked.
Others noted how bizarre it must have been to witness the famous couple’s ordeal.
“I’m just picturing walking through the Boston airport and seeing Dax and KB and family SLEEPING ON THE FLOOR Omg,” one person said.
A second wrote: “Imagine walking through the airport and seeing Dax Shepard just snoozing on the floor.”
Kristen and Dax first met back in 2007 at a birthday dinner for a mutual friend, they ended up hitting it off and got engaged in 2009.
In 2013 they welcomed their first child, daughter Lincoln Bell Shepard, and they tied the knot later that year.
The following year the Hollywood golden couple welcomed their second daughter, Delta Bell Shepard.
