Saved by the Bell co-stars both look unrecognisable as they reunite at rare appearance

Two Saved by the Bell teen stars, Elizabeth Berkley and Mark-Paul Gosselaar, looked completely unrecognisable as they made a rare appearance at a nineties convention.

You may remember Jessie Spano and Zack Morris of Bayside High School In the 1990s smash hit sitcom.

But fast forward a few decades and you might not recognise Elizabeth, 44, and Mark-Paul, 49, as the actors who played them.

After a lengthy hiatus, the pair reunited at a recent retro nineties convention in Hartford, Connecticut.

Appearing at 90s Con in March, fans couldn’t believe their eyes now that their childhood icons had all grown up.

But despite the show ending 30 years ago, the duo showed that age is just a number with their fresh faces and stunning looks.

Elizabeth took to Instagram to share the get-together with her followers.

She wrote: “I had the best weekend meeting forever fans and catching up with some amazing artists who also have been working hard since they were kids too.

“Not to mention, they all happen to hold a special place in pop culture for their amazing shows that have long been a part of people’s most treasured memories from childhood.”

She added: “This one right here is a part of mine” in a sweet nod to her former co-star.

Fans flocked to the comments to gush over the not-so-familiar faces.

One excited SBTB superfan wrote: “Zack Morris! And Jessie Spano!”

Another added: “You are flawless. Also I may or may not have named my firstborn child after Zack Morris.”

A third said: “These two have clearly moisturized the last 20 plus years … but all jokes aside, we love you!”

Saved by the Bell took the world by storm since first airing in 1989, running for four seasons until 1992.

While viewers ogled at their screens, what they wouldn’t have known was that Mark-Paul and Elizabeth were more than just co-stars.

The two cast members were reportedly involved in a romantic relationship behind the scenes.

In fact, Mark-Paul told People Magazine that he dated all three of his female co-stars at different times while filming the 86 episodes of the show.

Alongside Mark-Paul as Zack was Mario Lopez playing AC Slater and Dustin Diamond as Screech Powers.

The trio were matched by three girls – Tiffani Thiessen as Kelly Kapowski, Lark Voorhies’ Lisa Turtle, and of course, Elizabeth Berkley as Jessie Spano.
