Hugh Jackman admitted to romping with his now estranged wife Deborra-Lee Furness in full Wolverine costume… claws included. The star confessed to shredding the sheets during some particularly saucy antics.
Speaking to Us Weekly, Marvel star Jackman confessed that Deborra-Lee likes him to wear the whole thing during sex, joking: “The sheets we go through…” His wife then chimed in: “Oh my God, it’s dreadful! Always with the claws. I’m like, ‘Mix the salad. Put them to use, come on!’”
But the claws haven’t always come in handy. While shooting X-Men: Days of Future Past, Hugh almost sliced off his manhood while filming a sex scene with the metal blades.

“There was a very intense first scene and I insisted on a closed set. I ran round the corner and all the female members of the crew were gathered there. I tried to cover myself and cut my inner thigh – it was just the inner thigh thankfully! The metal claws had to go – you can’t have your bits and pieces flying off.”
Deborra-Lee also admitted his body for the film was “ridiculous”, telling Oprah Winfrey on her show Next Chapter: “He looks like he’s Photoshopped in the flesh! I say, ‘It’s ridiculous. You look Photoshopped.
“No one is more disciplined, though, he works really hard at it and it is no fun for the family. Because he… we can never go out to eat. It’s like he’s always having another cow or a chicken or broccoli.”
It seems that before their split, Deborra had mixed feelings about her husband’s ripped physique. She confessed: “I was always saying I’d marry somebody sensible, like a stockbroker. So, he dresses up for that fantasy for me occasionally.
“I like him all ways: chubby, muscly, skinny. It’s like I’m always having affairs. I like him best clean shaven.” It was his role as Blackbeard in 2015 flick Pan that really got his wife going, though, with Hugh revealing: “From my wife’s perspective, she said: ‘I think this is one of the sexiest characters you’ve played.’ It was a good summer, last year. Here they talk about the summer ‘76, I talk about the summer of 2014.”
He added to Cosmopolitan: “She gets very annoyed. She says, ‘A husband’s job is to be fat and flabby and make me look fabulous.’ She said I wasn’t living up to my end of the bargain.
“It’s a different kind of look all the time. But I’ve got to be honest, being in a 3-D film on a 40-foot screen is pretty good motivation for being in shape.”
But in September 2023, Hugh and Deborra called it quits after almost three decades together.

The pair confirmed the sad news via People magazine, issuing a statement that read: “We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage.
“Our journey now is shifting and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth. Our family has been and always will be our highest priority. We undertake this next chapter with gratitude, love, and kindness. We greatly appreciate your understanding in respecting our privacy as our family navigates this transition in all of our lives.”
The Australian pair share two adoptive children – son Oscar, 23, and daughter Ava, 18. They met on the set of the Aussie show Correlli, with Hugh going on to design his own engagement ring for his fiancée.
