Holly Willoughby was spotted arriving at ITV studios ahead of her first TV appearance since stepping down from This Morning.

The presenter, 42, quit the award-winning daytime programme in October after a plot to kidnap and murder her was exposed by police. Her future on Dancing on Ice was up in arms, with ITV bosses uncertain if she would be willing to return.

However, just days after Christmas, it was confirmed Holly would resuming her usual spot as host and would be joined by Stephen Mulhern. Stephen, 46, replaces Holly’s former co-host Phillip Schofield following his axe from ITV after his affair with a young male colleague was revealed.

In exclusive new photos, Holly could be seen arriving at ITV studios ahead of the show’s launch. She cut a casual figure in a mustard coat and blue jeans, adding a pair of black shades to the look.

Holly’s black Chanel handbag was placed on the seat next to her as she got to work on prepping for the the upcoming show, which kicks off tonight (January 14). The TV star was holding a piece of paper which featured the contestant’s from this year’s line up, including Love Island’s Amber Davies and Corrie’s Ryan Thomas.

On Friday (January 12), Holly broke her social media silence for the first time since walking away from This Morning. Taking to Instagram, the blonde beauty posted a picture of a Dancing on Ice script that she was running through.

Adding a caption, the author simply wrote: “And so it begins…” followed by an ice skate emoji and a smiley face. With Holly’s TV comeback taking place after a two-month hiatus, TV bosses have reportedly hired a stand in to help the host “feel safe and secure.”

A source told The Sun: “Bosses don’t want to have on-screen talent waiting around in the cold any longer than strictly necessary so they have used a body double for Holly for production run-throughs and to assist with camera angles. Crew have commented that she is being treated like a member of royalty or the First Lady of the US.

This insider added: “Everyone is hoping she feels safe and at ease after going through a distressing time. At the same time is really excited to come back to a show she adores and get glammed up for fans again.”
