Billie Eilish’s brother Finneas had forgotten Glee role before music stardom

Billie Eilish’s brother Finneas O’Connell had a brief acting stint on Glee back in the day.

Before the five-time Grammy award winner shot to music stardom, Finneas appeared in four episodes of Glee’s sixth and final season back in 2015. O’Connell appeared in the show as Alistair, Spencer’s love interest during the last few shows.

Alongside the cast, Finneas sang a few songs to round off the show, including Rather Be and Cool Kids. When fans realised Alistair was played by Finneas, all hell broke loose as viewers flocked to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their disbelief.

One person included a screenshot of Spencer and Alistair together and wrote: “I am absolutely losing my mind right now because I just found out that this guy [with] long hair from season six of Glee is Finneas, [also known as] Billie Eilish’s brother.”

Another fan of the show wrote: “What we’re gonna do now is have an in-depth conversation about how Billie Eilish’s producer brother, Finneas O’Connell, was a recurring character in season six of Glee and a ukulele loving gay named Alistair and now he has [at the time] four Grammys.”

Someone else also joked: “If you predicted Finneas as the most highly decorated Glee alum at the Grammys in the shortest time, I want you to pick some stocks for me,” as others said they were “today years old” when they learned about Finneas’ Glee role.
